Good Neighbor Project Syringe Service

First District Health Unit’s SSP program (Minot Good Neighbor Project) will continue services on Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Clients should use Entrance A and check in with the front receptionist. No appointment is needed for new or existing clients.

This strictly confidential program includes:

  • Syringes/needles, supplies, disposal containers for syringes, safe sex kits and wound care kits
  • Naloxone to reverse opioid overdoses
  • Education and training on drug overdose response, risk reduction and treatment, including the administration of overdose reversal medication
  • Safe disposal of used syringes
  • HIV and Hepatitis C testing

 

Optional services include:

  • Referral for substance use disorder treatment
  • Referral to update immunizations including Hepatitis A & B
  • Testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and others
