Good Neighbor Project Syringe Service

Services are now being held in the building south of our main parking lot.

First District Health Unit’s SSP program (Minot Good Neighbor Project) offers services on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Services are now being offered at our south building. Clients should use the main entrance and check in with the front receptionist. No appointment is needed for new or existing clients.

This strictly confidential program includes:

  • Syringes/needles, supplies, disposal containers for syringes, safe sex kits and wound care kits
  • Naloxone to reverse opioid overdoses
  • Education and training on drug overdose response, risk reduction and treatment, including the administration of overdose reversal medication
  • Safe disposal of used syringes
  • HIV and Hepatitis C testing


Optional services include:

  • Referral for substance use disorder treatment
  • Referral to update immunizations including Hepatitis A & B
  • Testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and others
