Responsible Beverage Server Training (RBST)
FULL LIST OF 2024 CLASSES
Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) training is a two-hour training course designed for any “employee” working in an establishment that sells or serves alcohol.
There is a $15 fee for this course. You must pre-register on Eventbrite or via email. Registrants who are paying by credit card must use the Eventbrite link. If you register via email, you must pay with cash or check at the time of the class.
The First District food code requires RBS certification for business owners/license holders of an establishment that provides on-site consumption of beverages containing alcohol, and any “employee” who handles, mixes, serves, sells or is involved in the transaction of alcohol. These employees will be required to show proof of certification while on duty, if requested.
Trainers will review North Dakota state laws and local ordinances regarding the sale and consumption of alcohol and your responsibilities and liabilities as a server and owner. Training covers information that will help keep the public safe from alcohol-related harm, while keeping the business and server safe from legal liability.
