Car Seat Safety

Car Seat Assistance Program

Are you a  TANF, SNAP, Medicaid, or WIC participant, or a foster parent?

Any foster parent, and any parent or guardian who receives benefits through WIC, SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF qualifies for one seat per child per stage for a reduced cost of $30.00 ($5.00 for backless boosters). All qualifying parents must pre-register and attend the First District car-seat class before receiving the seats. The one-hour class will educate parents and guardians on the correct type of seat needed for the child and how to install it correctly.  All seats are brand new and yours to keep.
