North Dakota Ryan White Part B Program

The North Dakota Ryan White Part B Program helps low-income people living with HIV get access to high-quality health care.  Services are aimed at removing barriers to HIV care, and strive to ensure that people stay actively retained in care with the ultimate goal of viral suppression and overall good health.  This program is federally funded and administered by the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services.

        • AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
        • Outpatient Medical Assistance
        • Emergency Assistance
        • Medical Transportation

Who is eligible? Individuals who:

        • Live in North Dakota
        • Test Positive for HIV
        • Meet Income Guidelines

  • Optimize health outcomes by funding health care and support services to enhance health care access and retention in care
  • Provide case management to link clients to appropriate resources

Who was Ryan White?

The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program was named for a young man diagnosed with AIDS following a blood transfusion in 1984. Though given six months to live, Ryan White would live until 1990, just months before Congress passed legislation bearing his name (Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency [Care] Act.  Learn more about Ryan White.
