The First District Health Unit (FDHU) lab is a state certified facility that regularly tests water samples for various contaminates and usability. Municipal and private water supplies are inspected for compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Lagoon analyses are limited; please consult FDHU with any questions.

ð When submitting samples for bacteriological testing you must stop by or call FDHU to obtain a standardized bottle.
ð To submit a sample for chemical analysis, be sure to fill a container that is at least 1 quart, clean, made of glass or plastic, and has not previously stored bleach, soap or vinegar. Do not use a metal container. Rinse the container several times with the sample water before filling and capping.

Quality Assurance/Control for Autoclaves
° FDHU lab will do spore testing on autoclaves to verify functionality and code compliance.
° $15.00 for the monthly test or $125.00 for a year contract.
