Freedom From Tobacco Classes

This FREE class is for those who need additional tools and support to quit smoking or using tobacco. 

The next class will begin January 6, 2011 at 6:30, and meet each Thursday for the next seven weeks.  Quit day will be the 4th week.  

    
Why this program will make a difference for you:
- We take a step by step process to teach the tobacco user to quit.
- We cover stress, weight control, and social situations.
- You will learn the most up-to-date information on tobacco.
- We stay with you for a full month after Quit Day.
- We use professionally trained facilitators who understand smokers.
- We provide some free patches and samples of gum while supplies last.

What do you have to do to attend the class?
- Contact Bonnie Riely or anyone in Tobacco Prevention at First District Health Unit - Minot office at (701) 852-1376 or e-mail at bfriely@nd.gov
- Attend the orientation class
- Seek physician approval to participate in the program and get any prescription medication.
- Be prepared to quit using tobacco by Week 4.

Three ways register:

1. Print the Quit Class Information and Registration below, and mail your completed registration to  FHDU, P.O. Box 1268, Minot, ND  58701.

2. Email your registration information to bfriely@nd.gov.

3. Call Bonnie Riely at First District Health Unit - Minot office at (701) 852-1376.
