High Priority Infant (HPI)







HPI
The High Priority Infant Program provides support and guidance to families of infants who were born prematurely or experience serious illness early in life; or to those who find caring for a tiny new baby a bit overwhelming and would like some assistance. Services include:
  • Early identification of developmental delays
  • Home visits during the first year to weigh and measure the baby and discuss concerns
  • Screening clinics (appointments with a registered nurse, licensed registered dietitian, social worker and developmental specialist)
    Referrals
  • Services are provided at no charge (donations are accepted). Clinic schedules vary by county.
